VEGETARIAN FOOD SMOKING COURSE - A one day practical hands on introduction to Vegetarian Food Smoking. Covering the basic theory of hot and cold smoking plant based foods. The theory will include how to make and use a hot and cold smoker, sourcing wood, Health & Safety, producing smoke and of course - smoking a wide selection of plant based foodstuffs. The focus for this course is smoked vegetables, smoked tofu and nuts & pulses.

DETAILS - This is a great one day practical hands on introduction to food smoking where our main focus is using vegetables, nuts and non-meat foodstuffs. We make sure you'll leave with the basic theory of hot and cold smoking which includes - How to construct and use a cold smoker and where to source your wood. We cover brining, salting and other preparation methods for smoking vegetables including health & Safety and food hygiene. The day long course is based on practical demonstration of both preparation and smoking and includes producing smoke and the principals of combustion. Throughout the day we will smoke a wide variety of vegetables, nuts and tofu. If you are coming along and want to know about smoking a particular food do get in touch and we will ensure we cover it for you. and remember, don't wear your best clothes as you'll end up smelling smokey.

REFRESHMENTS - Our one day course includes a light lunch comprising of a Salad, Dips and bread and all the tea and coffee you care to drink. Don't forget we are smoking food so there will be lots of tastings throughout the day.
